NVSU Extension and Training Program Holds Stakeholders Consultation Meeting for Manual Finalization

On May 25, 2023, the NVSU Extension and Training Program, led by Director Dr. Maribel S. Bacena, conducted the "Extension and Training Manual Stakeholders Consultation Meeting" at the NVSU College of Teacher Education - Audio Visual Room, Bambang Campus.

Back in 2014, the Board of Regents approved the Research, Extension, and Business for Development (REBD) Code through Resolution No. 06-19-137s. Over time, with program and process changes, the Extension and Training Program developed its own manual, focusing on key aspects such as capacity building, technology promotion, commercialization, the establishment of technology demonstration at the farmer level, and the respective guidelines and policies guided by the Standard Operating Instructions (SOI) of the R & D program.

Recognizing the need for stakeholder involvement and collaboration, the College Extension and Training coordinators, faculty members, and staff from both the Bayombong and Bambang Campuses, who are actively engaged in Extension and Training activities, along with various stakeholders, were invited to participate in the consultation meeting. The objective was to gather valuable insights, queries, and concerns related to the ongoing finalization of the Extension and Training Manual.

During the meeting, the Extension and Training manual was presented, providing attendees with an overview of its content and purpose. Subsequently, an open floor discussion was initiated to encourage participants to share their inputs, seek clarifications, and express any concerns regarding the revision of the manual.

The Extension and Training Program remains committed to its role as a strong partner for community development, not only locally but also at the regional and national levels. By actively involving stakeholders and incorporating their valuable input, the program aims to ensure that the finalized manual effectively meets the needs of all involved parties, further enhancing the impact of their community-driven initiatives.
