NVSU finally received its ISO 9001:2015 Certificate today February 2, 2021 after a year of delay due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
This certification broadens the perspective of the former ISO Certification last 2018 to cover the Provision of Services in Higher Education (Graduate and Undergraduate Programs) , Research, Extension, and Training (RET), and General Administration Management and Support Services (GASS).
It is to be recalled that NVSU's journey to be able to get this certificate is considered a milestone of the university.
NVSU ranked 12 out of 447 national agencies and is one of the university out of two, who was chosen to be a beneficiary for technical assistance in the conduct of In-house training.
As a result, the university, thru the President, signed a Memorandum of Agreement with the Development Academy of the Philippines (DAP) along with Department of Budget and Management (DBM) as beneficiary to the Government Quality Management Program in installing a Quality Management System certifiable to ISO 9001:2015.
On November to December 2019, the university was visited by SOCOTEC, the certifying body for the Stage 1 and 2 external audit to which the university was then recommended as ISO certifiable.
Finally, the university is able to take hold of the ISO 9001:2015 certificate which is valid from February 19, 2020 until Feb 18, 2023.
