The two-month long Landscape and Beautification Competition of the Nueva Vizcaya State University came to culmination during its Awarding Ceremony on August 3, 2021 for Bayombong Campus and August 4, 2021 in Bambang Campus.
Said activity is one of the priority projects of OIC-President, Ruth Raña Padilla. When she assumed the executive seat, she had in her vision to improve the grounds of the university. According to her, the main façade of the university should exude a favorable impression deserving for a SUC Level 4 university, thus, putting up a welcome arc.
Prior to the improvement of the façade, she came up of a competition for Landscaping and Beautification among offices for both campuses. Through this activity, the surroundings of the university were transformed into livelier and attractive landscape designs.
There are 19 entries in Bayombong and five entries in Bambang, all enunciating various significance and distinct showcase of creativity and ingenuity. Winning entries received cash amount from the pocket of OIC-President Padilla and consolation prizes were sponsored by the Provincial Local Government Unit.

On top of these awards, the OIC-President underlined the essence of camaraderie that was rekindled among the workforce and the sustainability of all the landscape. She likewise acknowledged all participants for their cooperation and commitment to the university.
The activity was facilitated by the Planning Officer Arshiela G. Manuel as the Focal Person In-Charge. The set of Evaluators were invited from outside the university namely; Provincial Tourism Officer, Marichelle Costales, Architect Audry Dominguez of Provincial Engineering Office, Mrs. Belen Bernabe of Bernabe Gardens, Architect Mark Lorenzo Mendoza the President of Architect Association-NV Chapter, Artist Zoila Albano from Solano, Nueva Vizcaya.
