TThe office of Governor Carlos M. Padilla has extended food packs to the Nueva Vizcaya State University as assistance to all employees of the university who are Covid-19 positive.

Said ayuda packs were turned-over to Prof. Elmer T. Castañeto, Vice Chair-University Covid-19 Task Force and Mr. Jonathan Galiste, UDRRM Coordinator on October 11, 2021.

A day after, both Prof. Castañeto and Mr. Galiste went to bring said ayuda to identified patients. This activity of the University Covid-19 Task Force aims to reach out to all NVSU patients.

Likewise, the NVSU family has also pooled financial resources to purchase food/medicine packs as assistance to all employees who are Covid-19 positive and those who are in home quarantine due to direct/close contacts with covid patients.

Meanwhile, Regent Ruth R. Padilla, OIC President of NVSU and at the same time the Chair- University Covid-19 Task Force has called for two-week lockdown of the university from October 11-24, 2021. This was based on the deliberation among the members of the Task-Force as they looked into the surging numbers of covid cases. This is one scheme to mitigate the spread of the virus and to put premium on the welfare and wellness of all people in the university community.

While the university is on lockdown, its prime services are still downloaded to its clientele and the university medical clinic maintains an online consultation to monitor and facilitate employees who are needing of medical advices.

As to date, the Task Force is keeping a close monitoring of its covid cases and health status of its manpower.
