The Nueva Vizcaya State University, through the Office of Culture and the Arts, prioritized the health and wellness of its faculty and staff as it recently completed the elimination games for the 5th Holistic Approach Toward Achieving Wellness (HATAW) today, February 18, 2025, at the NVSU-Bayombong Campus.

The HATAW initiative, which continues to appreciate and revitalize traditional and creative Filipino games, featured an enhanced version of the "Jack en Poy" (rock-paper-scissors) race this time.

The unique twist on the classic game, led by Office Director Fermila D. Cauilan and Campus Coordinator Joseph Bubod, turned into a fierce but friendly competition among the participating teams.

In the initial head-to-head matchups, the following emerged as winners and now have the chance to compete again in the semifinal rounds:

Game 1: College of Forestry, Environment, and Resources Management (CFERM)

Game 2: College of Arts and Sciences (CAS)

Game 3: College of Agriculture (CA)

Game 4: Non-Teaching Staff 1

Game 5: College of Teacher Education (CTEd)

This event proved once again that wellness can be achieved through simple activities that bring joy and unity to the campus community.

The event is part of the universityโ€™s ongoing effort to get the NVSU faculty and staff to engage in physical activities that can boost not only their physical health but also their social, emotional, and mental well-being.
