NVSU receives grants from NV-PLGU

7 Sep 2021

Over the last few months, NVSU continuously receives grants from external sources through the initiative of Hon. Ruth R. Padilla, OIC President. Just recently OIC Padilla signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) with the NV-PLGU through the Hon. Carlos M. Padilla, Governor of the Province of Nueva Vizcaya.

The MOA stipulates the provision of a grant amounting to P600,000.00 intended for the construction of an alumni office/conference room at NVSU. The grant is from the rural development agenda under the grants and donations of the PRAYERS N FAITH program of the Governor which allocates financial assistance for the promotion of general welfare and good governance.

The Honorable Governor Padilla is of a strong belief that the academe is a strong and effective partner in strengthening the province’s human resources. That is why the provincial local government unit Nueva Vizcaya (NV-PLGU) incessantly provides strong support to academic institutions like the Nueva Vizcaya State University.

To name a few, as an starter, the NV-PLGU provided financial assistance to the landscape and beautification contest, one of the initial projects of Hon. Ruth R. Padilla upon her assumption to office as OIC President. This was successively followed by the approval of Dr. Edwin Galapon, NV-Provincial Integrated Health Officer (PIHO) on the request of OIC Padilla on the CoVid 19 vaccination of the more or less 51% NVSU employees who are not vaccinated yet. And then, this grant for the construction of an alumni office.

With OIC President Hon. Padilla steering the helm of NVSU, it is certain that more endowments are coming and the NVSU is forever grateful to the NV-PLGU.
