75 students of NVSU from all the 15 municipalities of the province received this afternoon at the Convention Center, the scholarship assistance fund worth P12,500 from the Provincial Local Government Unit through the Office of the Governor Carlos M. Padilla.

In the scholarship grant under ‘SAGUT’ program, scholars will receive P5000 allowance and P2500 for clothing and book allowance every month.

The Nueva Vizcaya ‘SAGUT’ Scholarship Program is under the Governor’s Office- Provincial Employment Services Division (PESD) led by Dolly Rose Minas, PESD Manager.

Moreover, said program was made possible through Ordinance No. 2017-140, an ordinance institutionalizing the ‘Nueva Vizcaya SAGUT scholarship program’ with Board Member Patricio Dumlao Jr. as the principal sponsor.

Meanwhile, PAMANA beneficiaries Pentilicus Fajardo who graduated as Magna Cumlaude and Forester Mark Angelu Victor also received cash incentives.

‘PAMANA’, a scholarship program intiated by Governor Padilla, falls under platform E [which stands for Education]- of the PRAYERS N’ FAITH, the 13-point agenda of governance of the Padilla administration.

On ‘SAGUT’ scholarship program: NVSU, PLGU ink scholarship MOA

To formalize the said scholarship grant, Hon. Ruth Raña Padilla, in her capacity as Officer-In-Charge of the Office of the President, represented NVSU in signing the Memorandum of Agreement with Governor Carlos Padilla for PLGU and former PESD Chief Leticia Puguon representing Practitioners and Advocates of Rural Development for Sustainability Inc.

Also attending the event were: Board Member Patricio Dumlao Jr., NVSU Student Regent Dan Rev Carpio and DepEd -Division of Nueva Vizcaya Representative John Michael Cachero.
