Dr. Reden M. Austria, an instructor from Nueva Vizcaya State University (NVSU) – College of Veterinary Medicine (CVM), attended the 9th Congress of the Asian Association of Veterinary Anatomists, themed “Overcoming the Challenges in Veterinary Anatomy Education During and Post COVID-19 Pandemic.”

Held for the first time in the Philippines, this event took place at SEARCA Hall, University of the Philippines Los Baños, Laguna, on October 24-25, 2024.

This two-day biennial international event brought together educators and researchers in veterinary anatomy from across Asia to discuss the challenges facing veterinary anatomy education in the post-COVID-19 pandemic period. The gathering also served as a platform for professionals to share information, resources, and to discuss the importance of collaboration.

Dr. Austria also contributed as a judge for scientific papers presented during the congress.

The congress has the goal of fostering a tradition of scientific exchange among veterinarians, veterinary faculty, scientists, and researchers in anatomical sciences, as well as to strengthen both national and international capacities in anatomical education and research.
