Exploratory Meeting Strengthens Educational Ties Between NVSU and NCHU
In an exploratory meeting, representatives from Nueva Vizcaya State University (NVSU) and 國立中興大學 National Chung Hsing University (NCHU) gathered to forge a collaboration and friendship between the Philippines and Taiwan on January 8, 2024. Dr. Wilfredo A. Dumale, Jr., representing NVSU, engaged in productive discussions with Dr. Edith Tzu Su, the Director of the Academic Exchange Division at NCHU.
Under the facilitation of the Office of International Affairs (OIA), led by Director Regine Karla G. Tabas, the meeting aimed to foster cooperation in education and scientific research.
The participants collectively explored avenues for collaboration in various areas, including Dr. Jonar I. Yago, Vice President for Research, Extension, and Training, Dr. Aldwin D. Pablo, Dr. Haidee E. Torio, Dr. Adornado C. Vergara, Dr. Larry P. Remolazo, Deans of the College of Agriculture, College of Veterinary Medicine, College of Engineering - Bayombong and Bambang Campus, respectively, and NCHU Alumnus Dr. Reymund C. Derilo who personally arranged the meeting.
The exploratory meeting marks a significant step toward strengthening international ties, promoting academic excellence, and fostering a more profound understanding between Nueva Vizcaya State University and National Chung Hsing University. The commitment demonstrated by the representatives from both institutions is poised to open doors to new opportunities in education and scientific research. As these collaborative initiatives take shape, they are expected to leave a lasting impact on the academic communities of both the Philippines and Taiwan.
