Irish Franzel S. Padilla named among Asia's Top Women in public service, leadership
Irish Franzel S. Padilla, 20 years of age and a fourth-year Bachelor of Science in Tourism Management student at Nueva Vizcaya State University, embodies the spirit of leadership and service. Her journey, marked by a dedication to her community and a passion for making a difference, has led her to the prestigious "Asia's Top Women in the Field of Public Service and Outstanding Leadership" award, which she will receive on November 16th, 2024, at the Heritage Hotel in Pasay City.
Her story began in the small town of Maddela, where at the tender age of 13, she took on the role of Peace Officer for the YOUTH for ENVIRONMENT in SCHOOLS Organization. This early foray into leadership instilled in her a deep sense of responsibility and a passion for creating positive change.
As she progressed through her academic journey, Franzel's commitment to service only grew stronger. She served as Supreme Student Government Auditor in Maddela Comprehensive High School, demonstrating her dedication to transparency and accountability. Her leadership continued to blossom in the Student Council, where she held the position of CHE SC Auditor (2020-2021) further honing her skills in governance and decision-making.
In Academic Year 2022-2023 Franzel's dedication to her community and her university was recognized when she was elected as the CHE-Representative for the Quirinian Students' Organization. This role allowed her to advocate for the needs of her fellow students and to contribute to the overall development of the university.
This year, her leadership reached new heights as she was elected Mayor of the Organization of Hospitality Management Students. This position, coupled with her pursuit of a Bachelor of Science in Tourism Management, reflects her commitment to the hospitality industry and her desire to make a meaningful impact on the field.
