LGBTQ+ Student-Members Receive Educational Scholarship

Fifteen (15) NVSU students who are also LGBTQ+ members receive A&W International Educational Scholarship Grants through an Awarding Ceremony held last November 7, 2022, at the Mini Theater, Bayombong Campus.

The A&W LGBTQ International Educational Scholarship Charity Fund, founded 1994, is an international scholarship grant created and funded by LGBTQ+ advocates, Mr. Benjamin M. Aquino, Jr., a native of Solano, Nueva Vizcaya, and his spouse, Mr. Dion P. Wong. The said grant aims to uplift the recipients? standard of living by providing reasonable educational financial assistance amidst the rising cost of Higher Education.

Prior to the awarding proper, Provincial Governor Carlos M. Padilla presided the induction of the Officers of the Student Organization formed from the scholarship recipients group.

The scholarship grantees were later awarded with the assistance of the Provincial Governor Carlos M. Padilla, University President Wilfredo A. Dumale, Jr., Founder, Mr. Benjamin M. Aquino, Jr., and OIC of A&W LGBTQ+ International Educational Scholarship Committee, Mr. Arcenio Estioco.  

Also in attendance to witness the event were the Vice Presidents, the Deans from different colleges, and other committee members.
