NVSU COE studes earn spots in nat'l tilt
Reflecting the university’s growing presence in national engineering competitions and conventions, students from the Nueva Vizcaya State University (NVSU) College of Engineering (COE) – Civil Engineering Department clinched awards in their respective contests held at Mapua University, Oct. 2 to 4, 2024.
Redolin N. Gauiran, a third year Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering (BSCE) student, placed 6th among 45 participants from 19 universities across the country in the 1st National Civil Engineering AutoCAD Competition, an event hosted by the collaboration of Inhinyerong Sibil and Microcadd Institute.
Gauiran showcased exceptional technical abilities in AutoCAD and civil engineering design.
Meanwhile, A team of students from the COE-Civil Engineering Department, consisting of Mark Ceazar F. Villoso, Grayden Kyle B. Lammawin, and Dwight Stephen Josef B. Tito, achieved an impressive 7th place at the prestigious TransWhiz National Competition which was hosted by the Eastern Asia Society for Transportation Studies – Transportation Science Society of the Philippines (EASTS-TSSP) Mapúa University Chapter.
These students also had the chance to attend and listen to speakers of the TransMIT 2024 Convention where they shared groundbreaking insights and experiences from the transportation and engineering fields.
These leaders, recognized for their contributions to innovation, sustainability, and technological advancement, provided invaluable perspectives that enhanced the students' understanding of current and future trends in the industry.
The engineering students were coached and accompanied by Engr. Krichelle Maureen C. Gaerlan.
