NVSU Delegates Excel at Crash Course on Data Analytics for the Future in Higher Education

In a significant stride towards embracing the digital era in education, seven faculty and staff members from Nueva Vizcaya State University (NVSU) showcased their commitment to professional development by participating in the "Crash Course on Data Analytics for the Future for Higher Education Institutions in the Philippines (DAF-X4HEIs)." The event took place from December 4-8, 2023, at the Southeast Asian Regional Center for Graduate Study and Research in Agriculture (SEARCA) in Los Baños, Laguna.

The DAF-X4HEIs course is a part of the broader initiative called "Leveling-Up Philippine Higher Education Institutions in Agriculture, Fisheries, and Natural Resources" (LevelUPHEI AFAR), a collaborative project with the Philippine Commission on Higher Education (CHED). The primary goal of LevelUPHEI AFAR is to enhance the institutional capacities of State Universities and Colleges – Association of College of Agriculture in the Philippines, Inc. (SUC-ACAP, Inc.) and its 75 member institutions.

All activities and events under LevelUPHEI AFAR, including the DAF-X4HEIs course, are exclusive to SUC-ACAP member institutions, making participation in such initiatives a prestigious opportunity for faculty and staff looking to advance their skills and knowledge.

The Crash Course on Data Analytics for the Future was designed to provide participants with the necessary skills to navigate the evolving landscape of data analytics in the context of higher education. As data-driven decision-making becomes increasingly crucial, the course aimed to equip attendees with proficiency in leveraging data effectively for strategic planning, academic research, and institutional enhancement.

The seven participants from NVSU out of 38 engaged in intensive sessions, workshops, and discussions led by experts in the field of data analytics.
