NVSU expands global ties with AIT Thailand to boost research, academic exchange
Nueva Vizcaya State University (NVSU) is expanding its international collaborations following the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Asian Institute of Technology (AIT) in Thailand, March 3.
This partnership marks a significant step in advancing research, faculty development, and academic exchange, reinforcing NVSU’s commitment to global engagement.
Moreover, the MoU opens doors for collaborative research projects focusing on sustainability, food security, and technology-driven solutions. It also paves the way for faculty and student exchange programs, enhancing cross-cultural learning and professional growth.
Further, scholarship opportunities and capacity-building initiatives will support the university’s academic and research advancement.
During the same event, AIT also formalized a separate MoU with Central Mindanao University (CMU), further expanding its network of Philippine higher education institutions. The AIT has long been a trusted partner of Mariano Marcos State University (MMSU), and this new engagement signals a broader effort to connect more State Universities and Colleges (SUCs) with leading international institutions.
The university, led by University President Wilfredo A. Dumale Jr., extends its deep appreciation to Commissioner Shirley Agrupis for facilitating this partnership and strengthening the university’s linkages with AIT and to Prof. Anil Kumar Anal for his warm hospitality and invaluable support throughout the visit, reinforcing the importance of academic collaborations that transcend borders.
As NVSU embarks on this exciting new chapter, it remains committed to fostering global connections, driving innovation, and advancing higher education through international partnerships. More developments and academic exchanges are on the horizon as this collaboration unfolds.
