NVSU, HU to seal partnership in higher education
The Nueva Vizcaya State University, aiming to enhance its global recognition, collaborated with Hacettepe University in Turkey to explore partnership opportunities within the proposed Erasmus Mundus Design Measures (EMDM), via a Zoom Meeting, on February 07, 2024.
During the meeting, Dr. Rodney T. Cajimat, representing the NVSU-College of Teacher Education, presented the EMDM proposal to Dr. Gultekin Cakmakci of HU. The proposal focuses on designing high-level and integrated study programs at the master's level.
Dr. Cajimat also outlined the roadmap for 2024-2025, which suggests the implementation of a thematic curriculum framework. This framework aims to integrate existing course subjects in Sustainable Education, STEM Education, Indigenous Knowledge, Climate Change Education, Industry-Oriented Education, and Innovative Pedagogies.
Atty. Regine Karla G. Tabas, NVSU Director for International Affairs, expressed gratitude to Hacettepe University for the opportunity and expressed positive anticipation regarding the outcome of the exploratory meeting.
Moreover, potential areas of collaboration between the universities include: (1) Teacher Training, Conferences, and Professional Development; (2) Research Partnership and Collaboration; (3) Teacher and Student Exchange Programs; (4) Resource Sharing and Expert Services; and (5) Instruction and Curriculum Development.
