The event gathered 12 contestants, two each from King's College of the Philippines (KCP), Aldersgate College, and Saint Mary's University (SMU), NVSU (Bambang and Bayombong Campus).

The quiz, a key initiative of the Philippine Statistics Authority, served as a platform to promote statistical literacy among young learners and identify talented students to represent the province in regional competitions.

Another first-year BS Math student, Mistine B. Yaos, also participated and gained knowledge and tips that could be useful for next year’s quiz rounds.

Assistant Professor Jeffrey Mendoza, CAS Math & Stats Dep't faculty member, served as the coach and led the preparation efforts, together with the trainers, Associate Professors Richard Taclay and Karen Taclay, who came from the same college and department.

The PSQ is an annual event that aligns with the PSA's mission to foster a culture of data-driven thinking among the youth.

The regional PSQ will take place on November 8, 2024 in Tuguegarao City, and the winners from each province will compete for a spot in the national finals.
