NVSU-CVM Clinches 3rd Runner-Up in 26th National Round Up Quiz Bee

The Nueva Vizcaya State University – College of Veterinary Medicine (NVSU-CVM) secured 3rd runner up in the 26th National Round Up Quiz Bee held on March 29, 2025, at the Benguet Sports Complex Gym, Wangal, La Trinidad, Benguet.

Representing NVSU-CVM were students Lyanne C. Benter, Lordez Zallymad D. Allama, and Crisshen Faye P. Castillo, under the guidance of their coach, Dr. Norin Grace T. Umlano.

The competition gathered 15 teams from nine veterinary schools across the country, with each school allowed to field a maximum of three teams. Central Luzon State University’s Team 1 emerged as the overall champion, followed by Pampanga State Agricultural University Team 1 and De La Salle Araneta University Team 1 as 1st and 2nd runners-up, respectively.

Other participating institutions included the University of the Philippines Los Baños, Benguet State University, Cavite State University, Cagayan State University, and Tarlac Agricultural University.

The National Round Up is a yearly event that aims to promote academic excellence and foster camaraderie among future veterinarians. The event continues to serve as a platform for veterinary students to challenge themselves, learn from their peers, and build lasting connections within the veterinary community.
