NVSU-CVM Delivers Free Veterinary Services During 18th Vet Med Festival

As part of the 18th Veterinary Medicine Festival themed “Empowering Filipino Veterinary Students, Expanding Impact,” the Nueva Vizcaya State University Animal Health and Diagnostic Center, in collaboration with the Clinicians Club of NVSU-CVM, conducted a Free Spay and Castration Program on February 12, alongside a three-day Free Anti-Rabies Vaccination Drive from February 11 to 13, 2026.

During the celebration, a total of 3 dogs and 28 cats underwent neutering on the second day of the festival. Meanwhile, 82 pets received anti-rabies vaccinations throughout the three-day activity.

This initiative aimed to promote responsible pet ownership, help control the growing pet population, and prevent the spread of rabies, a persistent public health concern. Through their assistance in the vaccination and surgical procedures, the veterinary students gained valuable hands-on clinical experience.

The program reflects the College’s sustained dedication to extending veterinary services beyond the classroom and into the community, embodying the true spirit of service and professional excellence.
