TUG Bags Silver in National Journalism Quiz Bee

The student journalists of The University Gazette from NVSU-Bambang showcased their exceptional skills and knowledge by securing the silver medal in the prestigious Pambansang Pautakang Pampamahayagan (National Journalism Quiz Bee). The event, which took place at the Grand Astoria Hotel in Zamboanga del Sur on November 8, 2023, marked the first day of the 14th National Media Conference and saw participation from 25 higher education institutions (HEIs) representing both public and private schools across the country.

The triumphant team consisted of Francis S. Lacquias (BSED 3-Filipino), Rhonirose C. Villamor (BSED 4-Science), and Elize Marie G. Buya (BAEL 1). Their dedication and hard work paid off as they outshone their competitors, earning the well-deserved silver medal in the Tertiary Division.

The success of the team wouldn't have been possible without the guidance and support of their coaches: Jenifer Raymond Tallungan, Mary Jean Bongcato, and Mary Gay Aguila.
