NVSU gets ISO 9001:2015 certification anew, vows excellence in all operations
The Nueva Vizcaya State University (NVSU) has been re-certified for ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System after the two-stage audit conducted by SOCOTEC Certification Philippines on February 28 to March 1, 2024 and April 3-4, 2024.
The ISO 9001:2015 Certificate has the following scope: Provision of Higher Education (Curriculum Development, Admission, Registration, Management of Learning, Promotion/Conferment of Degree), Research and Extension Services and its management support processes.
“Every inch of NVSU is ISO certified,” announced University President Dr. Wilfredo A. Dumale, Jr., highlighting that unlike other agencies with selected core processes certified, NVSU’s certification encompasses all programs and processes in its two campuses.
Dr. Dumale also expressed his gratitude to the new Quality Management System Core Team and Internal Quality Audit Team, formed in 2023, led by the Quality Assurance and Accreditation (QAA) office for their efforts and to all who gave invaluable contributions.
Meanwhile, in an interview, Ms. Sheryl Caroline B. Fontanilla, Director of QAA office, emphasized that the primary benefit of the certification lies in NVSU’s commitment to continual improvement which is aligned to its vision for innovation and sustainable development.
The university first received ISO 9001:2015 certification for its General Administrative and Support Services (GASS) in February 2018. And by February 2020, it had extended the certification to include other processes.
This accomplishment highlights NVSU’s dedication to maintain high standards on its academic programs and administrative processes, vowing continuous compliance and improvement to sustain its certification.#
