NVSU holds Blood-Letting Activity with NVPH
Nueva Vizcaya State University?Bambang Campus?heeded the call for help as the COVID-19 pandemic triggered a significant blood shortage nationwide. The university hosted a Blood Letting Activity on the third day of its week-long celebration of the 19th Charter Anniversary, themed "NVSU Going Beyond Borders."
The event, which started at 8:00 a.m. and lasted until 2:00 p.m., was a response to the strict COVID-19 lockdown measures that halted blood donation activities. Thirty-two (32) individuals successfully donated blood to the event, organized under the theme "Dugo ng NVSUan, para sa Bayan!".
The annual bloodletting activity is an initiative of the NVSU community to ensure a sufficient supply of safe blood for its employees, students, and relatives. With the current shortage, NVSU's commitment to valuing people, giving high regard for their students, employees, and the organization, and helping augment the supply of safe blood for the NVPH's blood bank has become more critical.
The successful blood-letting activity of NVSU is a testament to the university's unwavering dedication to serving the community in times of crisis. Donating blood is a small but impactful way to contribute to society, and NVSU's commitment to hosting such activities shows that it is always willing to step up and help those in need.
