NVSU NEW HIRES ATTEND FORMAL ONBOARDING AND ORIENTATION PROGRAM
In compliance with the administrative regulations of the Civil Service Commission, twenty-seven (27) teaching and eight (8) non-teaching, newly-hired personnel of the Nueva Vizcaya State University (from October 2022 to February 2023) attend the official Onboarding and Orientation Program at the Mini Theater from February 14 to 16, 2023.
Themed, ?Onboarding: Not Just an HR Thing; It?s Getting You Involved (and Aware)?, the Chief Administrative Officer, in coordination with the Human Resource Development and Human Resource Management Offices, spearheaded the said event to ?strengthen the maturity of PRIME-HRM and promote a highly effective, professionally competent, respectful, responsive, and relevant public service by keeping employees informed and updated about their rights, benefits, and other concerns? related to their employment.
Before the orientation proper, a ceremonial signing of Emergency Instructors? contracts was conducted. This effort, as conceptualized by University President Wilfredo A. Dumale, Jr., aims to speed up the processing of the EIs? contracts before rendering their service. The University President added that this initiative should serve as a ?practice to further support the EIs in attending to their duties in the academe.? Signatories were University President Dumale, Vice President for Academic Affairs Dr. Elma P. Apostol, and Campus Administrators Dr. Arvin P. Vallesteros (Bayombong) and Dr. Fitzgerald L. Fabelico (Bambang).
Afterward, the three-day onboarding and orientation program commenced with the opening program, followed by the welcoming message from the Vice President for Administration and Finance, Dr. Cristina R. Salvosa. "Isaayos ang mga bagay na wala sa ayos. That is how the University will mature further as an institution of Higher Learning.?, the President said in his inspirational message.
The Panunumpa ng Lingkod Bayan was led by Delony A. Ugali, followed by the sharing of impressions to the University as facilitated by Chardin Joseph Leopoldo V. Saquing III. Heniecy Ann B. Morts later led the participants in singing ?If We Hold On Together?.
The training proper followed, with various preliminary activities facilitated by the activity proponents.

Finally, as one of the event?s highlights, the Writing of Commitment to Public Service took place. Then, the Post-Test and Post-Evaluation were facilitated by the HR Staff.
To formally close the program, Campus Administrator Dr. Arvin P. Vallesteros gave his congratulatory message to the new hires.
