Biology Celebration Marks Achievement in Biological Research

The College of Arts and Sciences kicked off its BIO CELEBRATION 2024 with the Theme Evolving from the Challenges of the Past towards greater Heights of Scientific Quest” highlighting the achievements and evolution of the BS Biology Program from 2019 to present.

 

In its continuous pursuit for academic excellence, the Natural Sciences Department conducted a seminar on Recent Trends and Issues in Biological Research held at the DFTC, Bayombong on April 29, 2024, marking the start of the activity. On its first part, Dr. Vernadyn Almeda Morillo shared the findings of her Dissertation entitled “ Dynamics of sperm-oviduct interaction that regulates maternal immune response in cattle”. Thereafter, fourth-year BS Biology students presented their completed theses.

 

The said activity was participated by Natural Sciences Faculty members, Biology students, STEM and HUMSS students from Nueva Vizcaya General Comprehensive High School. This collective effort aims to elevate the students’ active engagement in meaningful scientific endeavors in the field of biology, facilitating the sharing of their projects and outputs.
