
BIR honors NVSU for outstanding support in advancing tax programs
The Department of Finance Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR), through its Office of the Regional Director of Revenue Region No. 3 in Tuguegarao City, awarded a Plaque of Appreciation to Nueva Vizcaya State University (NVSU) in recognition of its continuous and unwavering commitment to the agency’s plans, programs, and projects.
The prestigious recognition was conferred by OIC-Regional Director Lorna B. Binaro, highlighting NVSU’s significant role in supporting BIR’s advocacies. The university’s contributions have been instrumental in advancing and achieving the Bureau’s mission and aspirations.
Notably, NVSU is the only higher education institution (HEI) in the Region to receive this commendation, highlighting its dedication to promoting a culture of tax awareness and compliance in the academic community.
Representing University President Dr. Wilfredo A. Dumale Jr., Mrs. Arlyne A. Gonzales, Director of the Finance Management System, proudly received the plaque of appreciation. Accompanying her at the event were Mrs. Geraldine T. Ebreo, Supervising Administrative Officer, and Mr. Dave Mark L. Limson, Accountant II.
With the theme "Buwis na Tapat, Tagumpay Nating Lahat," the recognition reflects the shared commitment of both institutions toward nation-building and responsible citizenship.
