CVM students join the Agri-Youth Student Congress
Three students from the Nueva Vizcaya State University (NVSU) – College of Veterinary Medicine (CVM) joined the 2024 Agri-Youth Student Congress held at International Training Center on Pig Husbandry (ITCPH), Marawoy, Lipa City, Batangas last October 24, 2024.
Ms. Lourdez Zallymad D. Allama, Ms. B. Kim Leileeni D. Maniquis, and Mr. Reyman Phil G. Gapad participated in the Quiz Bee part of the event, with Dr. Melvin O. Allama accompanying them. They placed 11th out of the 22 teams from various schools in the Philippines.
The Benguet Statue University (BSU) – College of Agriculture (CA) secured the first place while the Central Luzon State University (CLSU) – College of Veterinary Science and Medicine (CVSM) and CLSU – CA clinched the 2nd and 3rd places, respectively.
Other teams that joined the quiz bee were from the College of Agriculture and College of Veterinary Medicine of the following campuses: Pampanga State Agricultural University (PSAU), Cavite State University (CavSU), Bulacan Agricultural State College (BASC), Don Mariano Marcos Memorial State University (DMMMSU)-South La Union Campus, DMMSU – North La Union Campus, Laguna State Polytechnic University (LSPU) – Nagcarlan Campus, LSPU – Siniloan Campus, Apayao State College (APC), Tarlac Agricultural University (TAU), Nueva Ecija University of Science and Technology (NEUST), Abra State Institute of Sciences and Technology (ASIST), University of Rizal System (URS)-Rodriguez Campus, Batangas State University – Rosario Campus, Cagayan State University (CSU) – Lal-lo Campus, Ilocos Sur Polytechnic State College (ISPSC), and De La Salle Araneta University (DLSAU).
Aside from Quiz Bee, another activity during the congress was research colloquium.
