NVSU achieves Philippine Quality Award Level II for Proficiency in Quality Management

Nueva Vizcaya State University (NVSU) has been conferred the Philippine Quality Award (PQA) Level II – Proficiency in Quality Management during the 27th PQA Conferment Ceremony held on September 5 at Malacañang Palace, Manila. The award was presented by Executive Secretary Lucas Bersamin, on behalf of the President of the Philippines.


The PQA is the highest national recognition for organizational excellence, honoring institutions that demonstrate outstanding quality, productivity, and performance. Level II signifies proficiency in quality management, highlighting NVSU’s systematic approach to delivering efficient, effective, and excellent services.


University President Dr. Wilfredo A. Dumale Jr. described the award as a testament to the collective effort of the NVSU community—faculty, staff, students, alumni, and partners. He emphasized that the recognition serves as both a validation of teamwork and a call to sustain innovation, uphold global competitiveness, and deliver transformative education for Nueva Vizcaya and beyond.


Dr. Dumale received the award together with Vice Presidents Dr. Elma P. Apostol (Academic Affairs), Dr. Cristina R. Salvosa (Administration and Finance), Dr. Jonar I. Yago (Research, Extension, and Training), and Dr. Carlo F. Vadil (Planning, Development, and Information System), joined by Ms. Sheryl Caroline B. Fontanilla (Director for Quality Assurance and Accreditation) and Atty. Regine Karla G. Tabas (Executive Assistant).
