The Nueva Vizcaya State University-College of Agriculture celebrated its AgriHealth event, focusing on mental and physical health awareness. With the theme “Awareness: Opening Doors to Profound Transformation. Cultivating a Deeper Sense of Peace and Purpose in Life,” the day began with a vibrant parade led by NVSU athletes. Following the parade, the opening program set the tone for the day, after which various events were conducted. The afternoon session featured an insightful seminar on Mental and Physical Health Awareness, followed by fun and engaging activities that encouraged AgriJuans and AgriJuanas to connect and socialize with their fellow students, fostering a sense of community and well-being.
The day began with a lively parade led by Mr. Wendel Tamayo, Bronze Medalist in the 3k Long Run at the 2023 National SCUAA, alongside athletes from the College of Agriculture who represented NVSU in the National and Regional SCUAA. Following the parade, the opening program set the tone for the day. Dean Aldwin D. Pablo delivered an uplifting message, emphasizing core values that define not just athletes, but everyone striving for success: discipline, dedication, and perseverance. He reminded the athletes that success is not just about winning medals, but also about the growth and resilience gained through hard work and persistence. These qualities are the foundation not only of athletic achievement but of strong mental and physical health.
With this inspiring message in mind, the athletes participated in various sports activities, embodying the spirit of teamwork, determination, and the will to push beyond their limits. The morning set the stage for a day of both personal and collective growth, reminding everyone that true strength comes from within.
