NVSU CEN students win NIP 2024 in Belgium

The Nueva Vizcaya State University, with its two (2) students from the College of Engineering, bagged awards in the North Intensive Program (NIP) 2024 held at Vive University of Applied Science-Brugge and Kortrijk Campus, Belgium, from January 29 to February 9, 2024.


Mr. Titus Jayke G. Chua won first place in Agroforestry (Group) and Mr. Othmar Mikhael Vergara clinched third place in the Inagro category. The two students from CEN were coached by Prof. Cherrie Prelle DG Pascual, faculty of the College of Business Education.


The province of West Flanders’ Synergy program, a multi-stakeholder partnership that brings together some 30 partners from academia, local government, NGOs, cooperatives, and people organizations in the Philippines and West Flanders, came into being in 2018.


Further, the intensive program is a short and intensive study program that brings together students, and educators from West Flemish and Philippines institutions of higher education to work together on topics with impact. During this activity, 24 West Flemish and 24 Philippines students worked on cases presented by the Synergy Programme Stakeholders.
