NVSU Kicks Off 19th Charter Anniversary at the Bambang Campus
The Nueva Vizcaya State University (NVSU) celebrated its 19th Charter Anniversary with the theme "NVSU Going Beyond Borders," kicking off the weeklong festivities with a series of events on a high note. The university's achievements, aspirations, and commitment to excellence were highlighted throughout the day.
The day began with an activity called "Diana Around the Town," which promoted the upcoming events and activities of the celebration. In the activity, the NVSU Hymn was played in both Bambang and Bayombong, announcing the commencement of the five-day anniversary celebration.
After the announcement, participants from Bambang and Bayombong gathered at Batu Ferry for the "Salubungan" activity. A motorcade was then held, which featured colorful banners, balloons, and streamers that added excitement and joy to the event. The university officials, faculty, staff, and students in the motorcade headed to the Bambang Campus University Gymnasium, where the next events happened.
The day continued with a Thanksgiving service led by university officials and attended by NVSU community members. The service was an opportunity for everyone to give thanks for the blessings they received, especially during these trying times brought about by the pandemic.

The morning event concluded with the opening of the University Trade Fair, showcasing the talents and creativity of NVSU students, faculty, and staff. The trade fair featured various products, including food, handicrafts, and souvenirs. It provided a platform for local businesses and entrepreneurs to display their products and services. It also allowed NVSU students to explore and learn about different industries and businesses. Furthermore, the trade fair served as a way for NVSU to foster partnerships and collaboration with local businesses and entrepreneurs, aligning with its mission to contribute to economic development.
In the afternoon, the 2023 National Women's Month was observed and celebrated with the theme "WE for Gender Equality and an Inclusive Society." Dr. Teresita A. Tabaog, OIC-Regional Director of the Department of Science and Technology (DOST) Region 01, RGADC2 Chairperson, and the event's guest of honor and speaker, urged NVSUans to empower women and contribute to the university's economic growth.
