The Tulong Dunong Program (TDP) Orientation

The Tulong Dunong Program is a scholarship initiated and managed by the Commission on Higher Education - Regional Office 2 (CHEDRO2). This program aims to provide financial assistance to deserving students which would greatly ease their needs as they pursue higher education.

The Tulong Dunong Program (TDP) held an orientation session on November 9, 2023 at the NVSU Gymnatorium for the new TDP Student-Grantees for the AY 2022-2023. They were provided essential information and guidance through the sessions they attended.

The event brought together students from NVSU Bayombong and Bambang Campuses, as well as Saint Mary's University (SMU), PLT College (PLTC), Aldersgate College, and King’s College of the Philippines (KCP). In addition to the participants, the event featured distinguished guests from CHEDRO2: Atty. Marcos Cicero F. Domingo, OIC Director IV CHED RO2, Engr. Rosario G. Danga, Superior Program Educational Specialist RO2, Engr. Leah Sandra M. Perez, Project Technical Staff III, Rejoice D. Tan, Project Technical Staff II, Analiza I. Tordillos, Project Technical Staff II, Pauline Maye Somejo, Project Technical Staff II, Abraham Maguigad Jr. Project Technical Staff I, and Mariton B. Talosig, Project Technical Staff I and UniFAST: Atty. Ryan L. Estevez, OIC Executive Director UniFAST, Princess Shaine M. Abante, Head Executive Assistant and TDP Coordinator with TDP Focal persons for each Higher Education Institution. Their presence underscored the significance of this program in providing opportunities for talented and motivated students. Dr. Wilfredo A. Dumale, Jr., University President, and Dr. Carlo F. Vadil, Vice President for Planning, Development, and Information Systems, also graced the occasion.

The participants learned about the eligibility criteria for TDP. One of the primary highlights of the orientation was an in-depth discussion of the criteria for terminating the grants. Students were informed about the importance of maintaining academic excellence and complying with the program's guidelines.

The Tulong Dunong Program (TDP) Orientation for New TDP Student-Grantees of Academic Year 2023-2024 was a pivotal event that laid the foundation for the academic journey of numerous promising scholars.
