WCOPA Champ is back! NVSU hosts Tiken’s homecoming
The Nueva Vizcaya State University (NVSU) Administration Building was filled with celebration and pride as NVSUans welcomed back Blessie T. Tiken, an NVSU student who brought honor to the country for being champion in the 2024 World Championships of Performing Arts (WCOPA) in the United States Of America.
Dr. Wilfredo A. Dumale, Jr., University President, greeted Tiken with a smile and expressed his congratulations, reflecting the immense pride the university feels for her accomplishments.
During the homecoming celebration, the WCOPA champ expressed her gratitude to all the people behind her success, highlighting NVSU’s support to her journey.
“Nueva Vizcaya State University sent me to WCOPA,” she said.
Tiken, a member of Koro NVSU and among the Filipino delegates for WCOPA, clinched gold and silver medals in the vocal solo categories for Broadway and RnB, respectively and was able to secure the Division Championship for the Broadway Vocal Solo Senior Category.
