132 NVSUans benefit from Tulong Dunong Program for SUCs

A total of one hundred thirty two (132) students of Nueva Vizcaya State University (NVSU) were granted financial assistance from the Commission on Higher Education’s (CHED) Tulong Dunong Program (TDP) for State Universities and Colleges (SUCs), supported by the Office of Senator Loren Legarda, today, Aug 13, 2024 at separate venues: the Library Complex for NVSU Bayombong Campus and the CTE AVR for Bambang Campus.

Under this program, each student received P7,500 in cash assistance, intended to support their educational needs for the first semester of the academic year 2024-2025.

In a recorded message, Senator Loren Legarda expressed her continued commitment to making education accessible to all Filipinos, especially those in State Universities and Colleges (SUCs).

“Patuloy nating isinusulong ang ating adhikaing mabigyan ang ating mga kabataan ng dekalidad na edukasyon at sapat na resources upang linangin ang kanilang kakayanan bilang mahalagang bahagi ng ating pagsulong at pagbangon bilang isang bansa," Sen. Legarda said.

NVSU President Dr. Wilfredo A. Dumale Jr. also shared his gratitude for the support provided by Senator Legarda and CHED, extended his congratulations to all the grantees and shared an inspiring story and encouraged them to give their best and become the best leaders of the future.

“While you are here in the university, acquire knowledge, acquire skills, and acquire the necessary competencies so that you will be ready in your professional life,” Dr. Dumale added.

One of the grantees, Jasmine H. Iglesia, a third-year Bachelor of Physical Education student, expressed her heartfelt thanks for the financial aid and encourage all her fellow grantees to make the most of the opportunity.

"Pagbutihin natin ang ating pag-aaral para hindi masayang at may mapuntahan ang ipinagkaloob na biyaya sa sa atin,” she shared.
