Cagayan Valley's First MSME Summit 2023
The Nueva Vizcaya State University joins the First Regional MSME Summit 2023, with the theme “Building smarter, stronger, and Future-ready enterprises together,” July 13, 2023 at Palazzo Marcelino Balintocatoc, Santiago City.
The summit, a first of its kind in the region, aims to help build a resilient and prosperous future for the MSMEs through a cohesive approach from the government agencies and other stakeholders to ensure a sustainable and inclusive environment for MSMEs to grow and develop. It is organized by the Department of Trade and Industry Region 02.
One of the key highlights of the summit is the Signing of Memorandum of Agreement between and among the members of the Regional Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Development Council for the development of the MSME sector of the Cagayan Valley. The Intellectual Property Technology Business Management (IPTBM) Director Dr. Sony P. Aquino represented the institution.
NVSU products like Spoondigo Fish Cream Soup, citrus wine, citrus cider, pineapple jam, and ginger tea were among the products displayed in the One Town One Product (OTOP) Exhibit, a side event of the summit.
Throughout the summit, the participants engaged in fora series with esteemed panel of speakers coming from the different provincial, regional, and national agencies. These include Government Mindset Forum, Mastery & Mentoring Forum, Money Forum, Models and Machines Forum, Market Forum, and Entrepreneurial Mindset Forum.
The summit is in celebration of the 2023 National MSME Week which aims to institute a continuing awareness of the primacy of small businesses in nation building.
