DOST-PCIEERD Grants P5M for the Establishment of NVSU Aero-Environmental Engineering Laboratory
The Department of Science and Technology Philippine Council for Industry, Energy and Emerging Technology Research and Development Center (PCIEERD) spearheaded by Executive Director Dr. Enrico C. Paringit, recently approved a P5,000,000.00 worth project entitled ?Establishment of Aero-Environmental Engineering Laboratory (NVSU AERO-LAB)," with Director for R&D Dr. Jessie Pascual P. Bitog as the project leader.
The project, which will be implemented for 24 months, aims to establish a laboratory at NVSU that will cater to the research needs of faculty researchers that are focused on aero-environmental engineering concerns.
To realize this goal, the following activities shall be conducted: (1) purchase of cutting-edge computer simulation laboratory equipment, (2) establishment of collaborative partnerships with local industry in implementing advanced research, (3) implementation and publication of research in the field of aero-environmental engineering, and (4) conduct of series of training for faculty, graduate, and undergraduate students.
After the duration of the project, it is expected that there will be a functional and sustainable NVSU Aero-Environmental Engineering Laboratory that students, faculty researchers, innovators, engineers, and professionals could utilize to design and conduct studies/research relevant to the field of Agricultural and Biosystems Engineering (ABE), Civil Engineering (CE), Geodetic Engineering (GE) and Mechanical Engineering (ME).
This partnership was secured through the signing of the Memorandum of Agreement between the funding agency, DOST-PCIEERD, and the implementing agency, NVSU.
To kick off the project, an inception meeting will be conducted this coming June with the DOST-PCIEERD.
