Nueva Vizcaya State University Excels in Program Accreditation Survey: Achieves Historic Level IV Re-accreditation Status

The Nueva Vizcaya State University (NVSU) is celebrating a momentous achievement as the results of the May 2023 Program Accreditation Survey Re-visit were announced by the Accrediting Agency of Chartered Colleges and Universities in the Philippines (AACCUP), Inc. The comprehensive survey, which took place from May 29 to 31, 2023, evaluated six programs from NVSU's Bayombong and Bambang campuses.

The assessment covered various aspects of each program, including curriculum quality, faculty competence, research output, and overall educational impact. Four programs from the Bayombong Campus and two programs from the Bambang Campus underwent rigorous evaluation by a team of experts from AACCUP.

A resounding achievement for the institution was the BS in Computer Science Program, which was awarded the coveted Level IV Re-accreditation Status. This recognition is not only a testament to the program's excellence but also marks the first time a program at NVSU has reached Level IV accreditation. This achievement underscores the university's commitment to providing high-quality education and staying at the forefront of academic excellence.

In addition to the groundbreaking achievement of the Computer Science program, NVSU's commitment to maintaining superior educational standards was further validated with two other programs. The BS in Business Administration program of the Bayombong Campus and the BS in Public Administration program of the Bambang Campus both secured a Level III Re-accreditation Status.

The MS Agriculture and BS Geodetic Engineering programs of the Bayombong Campus, along with the BS Biology program of the Bambang Campus, were advised to address mandatory recommendations before being awarded the respective accreditation status they had applied for.

Six other programs, Master of Education, major in General Education, PhD in Rural Development, BS in Mechanical Engineering, BS in Computer Engineering, BS in Electrical Engineering, and BS in Electronics and Communications Engineering are also set for re-submission of compliance on the mandatory recommendations.

NVSU's administration remains steadfast in its commitment to working on these recommendations and elevating these programs to the highest standards.

The recent accreditation results have not only solidified NVSU's position as a leading educational institution but also inspire a sense of pride and motivation among the faculty, staff, and students. As NVSU looks ahead, it remains determined to further enhance its programs and uphold its reputation for producing graduates who are well-equipped to make meaningful contributions to society.
