NVSU bagged two Championships in the 10th Philippines I Transform! Young Leaders' Convention (PITYLC)
Delegates from the Nueva Vizcaya State University (Bayombong Campus) achieved remarkable feats as they participated in the recently conducted 10th Philippines I Transform! Young Leaders' Convention (PITYLC) held at Teachers Camp, Baguio City, from August 17-22, 2023, with the theme "A Decade of Action, Championing Sustainable Communities."
The "Tomato Project: A Zero Waste Processing Approach" by Keneith M. Natura from the College of Agriculture and Missy S. Aquino from the College of Business Education, won as back-to-back National Championship for the Kabataan fair youth catalyst project guided by their coach, Katrine Angela Tucay.
In addition, Allan A. Africa Jr. from the College of Teacher Education, Justine Licodinni from the College of Arts and Sciences, Djamrick Peralta from the College of Human Ecology, and King James Jimenez from the College of Teacher Education emerged as champions in the on-the-spot video-making competition.
Furthermore, among NVSU's delegates at the event were the hailed National finalist in the Poster making competition, Elmon M. Alcaraz from the College of Engineering; Photo Advocacy competition, Jenick C. Tagao from the College of Teacher Education; and Essay writing competition, Arvie Joy Bu-ucan from the College of Teacher Education. They were coached by Katrine Angela Tucay and Jeremy Dasalla.
