Bayombong, Nueva Vizcaya, May 22, 2024 — Culinary excellence soared at the Grand Ammungan Festival as NVSU Bambang’s own El Cucinero Trio captured first runner-up in the thrilling Mangan! Vizcaya Kulinarya Competition.

The team, composed of Romelia Tagami, Marion Faye V. Martinez, and Ranel F. Montemayor, wowed judges and spectators alike with their innovative culinary creations during the Payabangan sa Kayabang challenge. With five strong competitors in the fray, their distinctive dishes earned them a coveted spot just behind the champion, Chef Yna of Bayombong, with Betsubara Cafe landing as the second runner-up.

This year's festival also featured the Viz Bakers and Kapetirya de Vizcaya contests, further showcasing the region’s rich culinary talents.NVSU has once again proven that creativity and skill can propel them to new heights in the culinary world.
