NVSU, BJMP team up to boost livelihood initiatives for PDLs
The Nueva Vizcaya State University (NVSU) Service Providers, represented by Dr. Renalee V. Valenzuela and Ms. Flormelyn D. Tumenez, both faculty members from the College of Business Education (CBE), and acting as BJMP Solano District Jail's Marketing and Financial Mgt Consultants, successfully conducted a consultation meeting/project monitoring, and planning session with key officials of the BJMP. Present during the meeting were JSINSP Gladwin A. Pinugo, Acting District Jail Warden, JINSP Jojo Fernandez, Chief of Welfare and Development, and JO2 Maricel Mariñas.
The purpose of the consultation meeting/project monitoring was to align future activities and assess ongoing initiatives as part of NVSU's commitment to supporting the welfare and development of Persons Deprived of Liberty (PDLs). Discussions revolved around strengthening livelihood and capability-building programs, in line with NVSU’s extension project "Empowering Persons Deprived with Liberty (PDLs) through Livelihood and Capabillity Building".
This partnership highlights the strong collaboration between NVSU and BJMP, reinforcing the importance of education, skills training, and community support in creating a more inclusive and rehabilitative environment for PDLs.
