NVSU engages at PASUC convention to stay abreast of SUC devts

Nueva Vizcaya State University (NVSU) participated in the Philippine Association of State Universities and Colleges (PASUC) Convention and General Assembly at the SMX Convention Center Manila, Pasay City.

Themed “Advancing Competitiveness of SUCs for National Development,” the event provided a platform for stakeholders to share perspectives and engage in collaborative discussions.

NVSU's delegation was led by NVSU President Dr. Wilfredo A. Dumale Jr., accompanied by:

- Vice President for Academic Affairs (VPAA) Dr. Elma P. Apostol

- Vice President for Research, Extension, and Training (VPRET) Dr. Jonar I. Yago

- Director for Institutional and Curriculum Development (ICD) Dr. Jane D. Navalta

The three-day convention covered a wide array of topics critical to the advancement of SUCs, including:

- The Landscape of Philippine Higher Education

- Financing Higher Education in the Philippines

- Innovation and Digital Governance in Higher Education

- Quality Assurance in Higher Education

- Internationalization in Higher Education

- Sustainable Development in SUCs

- Health, Wellness, and Longevity

The event aimed to keep SUCs abreast of the latest trends, updates, and issues in SUC development. 

The convention highlighted current challenges and opportunities within the Philippine higher education system, emphasizing the need for innovation and collaboration among SUCs.

Sessions on sustainable development and the well-being of students and faculty were highlighted to offer strategies to enhance the competitiveness of the SUCs.

NVSU's participation in the PASUC Convention emphasized the university’s commitment to staying informed and engaged with the dynamics of higher education, ensuring that it remains at the forefront of educational development and excellence.
