NVSU holds training course on ISO 9001:2015 QMS
The training course on ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System Requirements and Documentation was effectively delivered by the Project Team of the Development Academy of the Philippines (DAP) for the Nueva Vizcaya State University from August 22-25, 2023, at the Wilwin Hotel in Bayombong, Nueva Vizcaya. This achievement was facilitated subsequent to the university's submission of an application to participate in the 2023 DAP Government Quality Management Program (GQMP).
The GQMP aims to effect improvement in public sector performance by ensuring the consistency of products and services through quality processes that can be achieved through an effective Quality Management System (QMS). Specifically, this capability-building intervention on QMS aims to increase organizational awareness of its duties and responsibilities and in fulfilling the needs and expectations of customers and interested parties; check the consistency of interpretation of the university systems and processes; help ensure that processes are carried out as planned; help better prepare the university through the identification of risks and opportunities, and help to lead the university in improving customer service delivery.
The event is coordinated by the NVSU Support Team, which is led by the University President, Wilfredo A. Dumale Jr. Other key members of the team include Vice President for Academic Affairs, Elma P. Apostol, who serves as the project lead, and members of the Quality Management System Core Team led by the Quality Assurance and Accreditation Office.
CHED representative and the project manager, Ms. Ann Margareth B. Reyes, and Mr. Rosandro G. Bertis were the speakers at the training.
The participants consisted of the executive committee, college deans, directors, and heads of offices of the university.
