NVSU Hosts FDU 3rd Quarter Meeting for FY 2024
The Nueva Vizcaya State University (NVSU) hosted the 3rd Quarter Meeting of the Full-Time Delivery Unit (FDU) for FY 2024 held at the NVSU Main Campus, August 08, 2024.
The meeting, which brought together SUCs namely Batanes State College (BSC), Cagayan State University (CSU), Isabela State University (ISU), Nueva Vizcaya State University (NVSU), Quirino State University (QSU) and the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) Regional Office 2 and the Department of Budget and Management (DBM) Region 2, focused on assessing the progress of ongoing projects and initiatives under the DBM-CHED partnership.
It aimed to ensure the timely delivery of educational programs, the efficient utilization of budget allocations, and the alignment of institutional goals with national development priorities.
NVSU President, Dr. Wilfredo A. Dumale Jr., opened the event with a warm welcome, expressing the university’s commitment to contributing to the national agenda of educational excellence.
“Ginagawa natin ang ating makakaya upang ang mga serbisyong inaasahan sa atin ng taong bayan ay maibigay natin sa kanila,” Dr. Dumale said.
Representatives from various SUCs provided updates on their respective projects, highlighting both achievements and challenges encountered during the past quarter to the DBM Region 2 led by Regional Director Cherry W. Bravo and Acting Assistant Director Jose C. Pamittan.
Leaders and representatives from DBM acknowledged concerns and provided strategies to enhance the implmentation of programs, particularly those aimed at improving access to quality higher education across the country during an open forum.
Regional Director Bravo reiterated the importance of adhering to the timelines and targets set for the fiscal year, emphasizing the need for continuous improvement in project execution to maximize the impact of government funds.
