The Nueva Vizcaya State University welcomes July in support of the 49th National Nutrition Month or "Buwan ng Nutrisyon" with the theme, "Healthy diet gawing affordable for all!" led by University President, Dr. Wilfredo A. Dumale Jr., alongside Dr. Cristina R. Salvosa, Vice President for Administration and Finance, Dr. Jonar I. Yago, Vice President for Research, Extension, and Training, Dr. Arvin P. Vallesteros, Campus Administrator for Bayombong Campus, and the dedicated students, heads and staff of various offices.
The National Nutrition Council (NNC) highlights the necessity of assisting initiatives to increase Filipinos' access to nutritious, secure, and reasonably priced food. The council also stated that this year's celebration calls for policy-makers, administrators, and lawmakers to take steps on the increased accessibility to nutritious foods, product reformulation, and improved food value chains; reduce the availability of unhealthy food, restrictions on marketing, and consumer education; redirect resources to agriculture to enable consumers to acquire affordable, nutritious food.
The national nutrition month is observed each July as per Presidential Decree 491, which also ordered the establishment of NNC in 1974. #NutrisyongSapatParaSaLahat #HealthyDietForAll
