NVSU secures 1st runner-up at 37th reg’l quiz show, qualifies for nat’l tilt

The 19th Regional Student Conference, held at Teatro Ilocandia, Mariano Marcos State University in Batac City, Ilocos Norte, from October 17 to 19, 2024, featured three days of exciting academic events. One of the key highlights was the 37^th Regional Quiz Show, where the team from Nueva Vizcaya State University claimed the 1st Runner-Up position against 12 colleges and universities from across Northern Luzon.

Led by team captain Darryl Kane P. Culambot, and supported by members Ellymar F. Duque, Jay-ar T. Calingayan, Bryan Paul T. Manzano, and Andrei P. Esguerra, the team showcased knowledge and teamwork throughout the competition, securing a strong 1st Runner-Up finish. Their outstanding performance qualified them to represent the Northern Luzon region in the upcoming National Quiz Show Competition, where they will face top teams from across the country. In addition, their success earned them a 100% scholarship from several Electrical Engineering Review Centers, providing a valuable advantage in their preparations for professional licensure.

The 19th Regional Student Conference provided an important platform for the academic and professional development of electrical engineering students, showcasing the best and brightest talents in the region. With their achievements at the regional level, the NVSU team has solidified their standing as one of the premier contenders in the field of electrical engineering.
