Future Vet Professionals Don White Coats in a Symbolic Ceremony

With the theme “Crafting Veterinarians’ Heart for a Transformative Journey in Veterinary Practice,” the Nueva Vizcaya State University (NVSU) – College of Veterinary Medicine (CVM) held its 5th White Coat Ceremony on October 19, 2024, at Disadeco Events Center, Bayombong, Nueva Vizcaya.

Guest speaker Dr. Marcelino G. Delson Jr., Provincial Veterinarian of Quirino, encouraged the young clinicians to keep studying, expanding their knowledge, and diversifying their skills. He emphasized that wearing the white coat is not just about donning a piece of clothing, but symbolizes their commitment to be the voice for those who cannot speak.

This year, 18 fifth-year students donned their white coats, marking their transition from animal science students to veterinary clinicians dedicated to a noble profession. After the coating and pinning ceremony, they also took the Oath of Commitment, affirming their dedication to the veterinary field.
