NVSU, Toyo Systems in Talks for Strategic ICT Collaboration
Asakusa, Tokyo, Japan – August 20, 2024 – Nueva Vizcaya State University (NVSU) met with Toyo Systems Development Cooperative, facilitated by OISCA International Secretary General Nagaishi Yasuaki, to explore potential ICT collaboration and strengthen ties with leading Japanese technology firms.
The NVSU delegation was led by President Dr. Wilfredo A. Dumale, Jr., and included key university officials: Vice President for Administration and Finance Dr. Cristina R. Salvosa, Director for the Center for Research, Resource, and Development Center (CRRDC) Dr. Elbert A. Sana, Director for Research and Development (R&D) Dr. Jessie Pascual P. Bitog, Director for International Affairs Atty. Regine Karla G. Tabas, and CHED Regional Director Atty. Marco Cicero F. Domingo.
Representing Toyo Systems Development Cooperative were President Hiroyuki Matsumoto and System Sales Department Head Toshimasa Miyamoto. Also in attendance was Mr. Masahito Kawamori, Rapporteur for Digital Health and ICT Accessibility at the International Telecommunication Union of the United Nations.
Toyo Systems Development Cooperative, a Tokyo-based IT company specializing in software and application development, engaged in discussions with NVSU about potential technical internship programs for NVSU students and graduates in fields such as information technology, computer science, and information systems. These programs aim to provide students with hands-on experience in Japan’s advanced IT industry and open up employment opportunities.
The meeting concluded with both parties expressing strong interest in future collaborations. NVSU is committed to offering its students global exposure and opportunities in ICT, while Toyo Systems Development Cooperative is eager to share its expertise and support the educational growth of young Filipino professionals. This potential partnership marks a significant step toward enhancing ICT education and fostering international cooperation in technology and innovation.
