Board of Regents approves NVSU’s Strategic Plan 2023-2032
The Nueva Vizcaya State University (NVSU) marked another significant milestone in its pursuit of academic excellence and institutional development as the university Board of Regents officially approved the institution's Strategic Plan 2023-2032 on September 6, 2023.
The presentation before the Board of Regents was articulately delivered by the University President, Dr. Wilfredo A. Dumale Jr., whose leadership and vision have been instrumental in this achievement.
At the core of this endeavor was the Strategic Planning and Development Committee (SPDC), a dedicated team organized by the Planning and Development Office (PDO) headed by the Planning Officer, Ms. Arshiela G. Manuel to spearhead the planning process and calendared activities. This committee diligently worked on shaping the plan, ensuring that it reflected the aspirations and ambitions of the entire NVSU community.
Said workshops had been fully supported by the members of the Executive Committee, Dr. Cristina A. Salvosa, VP for Administration and Finance, Dr. Elma P. Apostol, VP for Academic Affairs, Dr. Jonar I. Yago, VP for Research, Extension and Training, Dr. Carlo F. Vadil, VP for Planning Development and Information System, and the two Campus Administrators, Dr. Arvin Vallesteros and Fitzgerald Fabelico.
The journey towards this pivotal milestone has been marked by meticulous planning, comprehensive workshops, and collaborative efforts involving various stakeholders. The strategic planning process spanned several months which involved both on-campus and off-campus training workshops.
The last leg of training workshop was facilitated by experts from the Center for Local and Regional Governance of the University of the Philippines-National College of Public Administration and Governance. Their expertise and guidance ensured that the plan was meticulously crafted and aligned with the university's long-term goals.
After the initial crafting of the Strategic Plan in June 2023, NVSU took an inclusive approach by presenting it to the university's stakeholders on July 3, 2023 at the NVSU Mini-Theater. Faculty, staff, students, alumni, and other key individuals had the opportunity to review and provide their valuable input, suggestions, and comments. This participatory process allowed for a comprehensive and well-rounded plan that considered the diverse perspectives and expertise within the NVSU community.
The university looks forward to implement the approved Strategic Plan, which will guide the institution in achieving its strategic goals and continuing its vision and mission of providing quality education, research, and community service. Said plan was approved through Board Resolution No. 09-06-081. Likewise, the approval of the new Vision, Mission, Goals, and Core Values of the university took effect through Board Resolution No. 09-06-082.
