Collaborative Learning Event: NVSU and Synergy Pilipinas Strengthening Research and Development
NVSU RET gave a warm reception to Synergy Pilipinas during the ππ€π§π©π ππͺπ―π€π£ ππππ§π£ππ£π ππππππ£ππ held on August 9, 2023. This event was initiated by Dr. Dolores B. Galvez, Dean of the College of Business Education and NVSU Synergy Pilipinas Focal Person.
A group of ten representatives from Bicol Cooperatives and Central Bicol State University of Agriculture participated in the activities, which involved visits to partner organizations in North Luzon. Their itinerary included a visit to the NVSU Research, Extension, and Training Program, overseen by Dr. Jonar I. Yago, the Vice President of the university.
Dr. Jessie Pascual P. Bitog, the Director for Research and Development, provided insights into the profile, program overview, milestones, as well as the various best practices and challenges of the RET Program.
Further enriching the exchange, Dr. Elbert A. Sana, the Director for Citrus Research and Resources Development Center, conversed an overview of the CRRDC. Dr. Sana's discussion shed light on the significance and multifaceted nature of the Citrus Center, which emerged as a focal point of interest for the participants
Subsequently, the representatives from Bicol Cooperatives and Central Bicol State University of Agriculture undertook a site tour of the NVSU Food Processing Center and the Citrus Genebank.
Looking forward for future collaboration between NVSU and Synergy Pilipinas in the realms of research and development, and extension projects.
