CVM Faculty Members Participate in International Training on Cage-free Innovation and Welfare Hub
Faculty members from the College of Veterinary Medicine, Dr. Jessica M. Cadoy and Dr. Mervin O. Allama, participated in the International Training on Cage-free Innovation and Welfare Hub on July 9-15, 2023, organized by the Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM) Faculty of Animal Science, Global Food Partners and AERES University of Applied Science in the Netherlands.
The training aims to provide knowledge of cage-free egg farming practices to the 31 delegates from the Philippines and to enhance their capacity to understand the cage-free layer farming system through productive activities such as lectures, practical sessions, and evaluations. With this, Dr. Cadoy and Dr. Allama actively engaged in the discussions, knowledge transfer, and expertise-sharing among the specialists in animal science and industry professionals.
These NVSU grantees will be featured in the International Seminar Series with the theme “Continuous Knowledge Amplification Harnessing Global Expertise Through Ongoing Faculty Re-Echo and Implementation” on October 17, 2023, to be aired live on the Facebook pages of Nueva Vizcaya State University and NVSU Office of International Affairs to share and discuss their learning experiences about the training.
The Southeast Asian Regional Center sponsors this engagement for Graduate Study and Research in Agriculture (SEARCA) under a CHED-funded project titled “Leveling-Up Philippine Higher Education Institutions in Agriculture, Fisheries, Natural Resources” (LevelUHEI AFAR).
