NVSU hosts benchmarking activity for MPSPC
Nueva Vizcaya State University (NVSU) hosted a benchmarking activity for visitors from Mountain Province State Polytechnic College (MPSPC) to observe and exchange best practices and strengthen collaboration between the two institutions.
In his message during the welcome program, University President Dr. Wilfredo A. Dumale, Jr. emphasized the importance of such partnerships for institutional growth.
"We hope that this visit will be productive for both institutions. We look forward to learning from each other and enhancing our practices, Dr. Dumale stated.
The benchmarking activity commenced with comprehensive presentations on the NICER Program, delivered by Dr. Elbert A. Sana, Director of Citrus Resources Research for Development, followed by an open forum that allowed a dynamic exchange of ideas and questions.
The visitors toured several key facilities at NVSU, including the RET Facility, the Citrus Genebank and Planting Materials Production Nursery, and the Shared Service Facility (SSF) for Technology Incubation and Training Center, which provided insights into NVSU's advanced research and development capabilities.
In the afternoon, Dr. Geraldine T. Ebreo, Supervising Administrative Officer, presented on NVSU's strategies, practices, and fund allocation direction where she highlighted the university's effective management and strategic planning approaches.
Moreover, Dr. Cue also shared his aspirations for MPSPC, which will soon be proclaimed as a university, expressed gratitude for the strong relationship between MPSPC and NVSU and looked forward to more benchmarking activities with other NVSU units.
“We learned a lot. When we return [to MPSPC], we will review our processes. It's really beneficial to step out of your comfort zone to observe best practices that we can also implement," he added.
The benchmarking activity concluded with both institutions expressing their commitment to ongoing collaboration and mutual development.
