The Nueva Vizcaya State University – Office of the International Affairs attended the University Mobility in Asia and the Pacific (UMAP) National Conference, with the theme ‘UMAP Conference 2024: Braving the Tides of Change,’ on February 28, 2024.

Present at the said conference are the representatives of the NVSU: Atty. Regine Karla G. Tabas - Director of OIA, and Dr. William D. Magday - Dean of the College of Teacher Education.

Last month, the University, through Atty. Tabas, announced a signed pledge of agreement between the NVSU and UMAP, which allows a wider access to programs like collaborative international learning and opportunities for student exchange and faculty exchange.

Further, UMAP is an association of government and non-government representatives in higher education, aims to enhance international understanding through increased mobility of university students and staff. It plays a crucial role in improving cross-border services and fostering partnerships in higher education institutions in Asia and the Pacific.

The UMAP Conference is in colloboration with the Commission on Higher Education and various Higher Education Institutions in the Philippines.
